My 10 Favorite Kitchen Organizing Ideas

Prev1 of 11Next

As I’m anxiously awaiting my new floors in the hallway, I have been cleaning up sheet rock dust from our last project.  I tend to clean in an “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” style.  Somehow it evolved from dusting the sheet rock dust to organizing my cabinets and drawers in my kitchen.  In which case, I have come to realize that I need a better system for organizing a few things. Kitchens are so hard to organize because of the odd shaped things and cumbersome kitchen utensils.  Here are some really great ideas!  I LOVE the measuring cups/spoons on the back of a cabinet door.

In response to storing baking sheets….I had a cabinetmaker/woodworker create a drawer behind the kick plate under my kitchen cabinets. There are tutorials on the web if you want to try it yourself. I have very limited storage space so it was a great solution for me.

That is an amazing idea! I have a woodworker right here in my house:) I am going to mention that to him. Thank you! I would love a better solution!

I love this idea, I have three woodworkers in my house, bet I still have to do it myself, but that’s okay I need to learn to be independent!

I also so on Pinterest where you can use tension rods in a cabinet to separate your baking sheets. I just put an old metal divider like people used to use on their desk for files and prop the sheets up with those.
