Once a child reaches those preteen and adolescent years, they begin to want a more age-appropriate bedroom. And if your teens are like mine, they enjoy making their own bedroom decor. Sometimes it’s tough to know what that might look like, but Sunlit Spaces is up to the task! Here 12 of the most clever ideas I’ve found for a teenage bedroom. And they won’t break your budget!

1.Light strings are one of the coolest, easiest ways to dress up a teenage bedroom. Add them to a simple canopy for a romantic look she’s sure to fall in love with.

3. A pretty bench is a great way to dress up a teen bedroom. And with this thrift store upcycle, your teen can DIY this project for a steal.
