I love wide hallways and I think you can do really neat things with hallway space, if you just know what to do. Decorations, furniture, and so many other things can make your hallway space look awesome and inviting. Here are just a few ideas!
Bench
I love this! Super cute idea with a the bench (and I HEART castors!) Super cute for a wide-ish hallway or awkward space by a hallway. You can match the color of the bench with the pillows and pictures around it to make the hallway or corner both cozy and colorful.
Storage
Anytime you can make extra storage look good, that is the way to go! This is in a hallway by the garage and they have made it into mudroom lockers. But if you could do this in an upstairs hallway next to the kids’ rooms, imagine all the storage and organization! I love it for a hallway!
Picture Frames
This is a great option if you don’t have wide hallways or extra space. Very cute and adds a little somethin’ to your hallway to mix it up. All the frames can be the same color, or you can mix it up with multiple different colors on the wall!
Drinking Fountain
Oh my goodness. Yes, PLEASE. If you’ve got the space, why not? Not only is a drinking fountain super useful (especially if you have lots of guests coming on and out), but it also saves you tons on dishes! Along with that, you can decorate around it (like with this awesome brick wallpaper) to make your hallway even more unique!
Library
A little library in the kids’ hallway! How cute! Love the built-in bookshelves. You can also do this with the whole wall and make it a bookshelf for adults, as well! Break the books up with pictures, decorations, and other objects to make the shelves’ content more visually appealing.
Depending on the hallway, this is really adorable. A little play area. Why not? Maybe not next to the dining room, but by the playroom or kids’ rooms? Super cute! I love the idea of making it an area to play:)
Signs
This idea adds some rustic style and class to your home. Just make sure the ceilings are high enough so tall guests or family members don’t hit their heads on the sign! Get one for your bathroom, laundry room, office, or numerous other ones!
Mirror
Mirrors are a great way to make any room or area look bigger than it actually is, so if you have a narrow hallway, then this is the perfect option! You can have as many as you want, but don’t go too overboard or it looks a little weird. Usually one, classy mirror can do the job.
Rug
Not all the decorations need to be on the wall. A simple, stylish rug can really pull a hallway together and make it look chic and sophisticated. Choose a fun, but tame, color that goes with the rest of the hallway.
Flat Table
If your hallway is narrow, you may not be able to get as much furniture in there as you like. This can make the hallway look drab and bare, but no need to worry; you don’t have to live with that any longer! A flat table is a great way to get the look of furniture without taking up all the space!
Hooks
Hooks are always a valuable asset in any hallway; from scarves and coats, to bags and backpacks, hooks help things stay off the floor and remain organized. Don’t just settle for boring hooks, though, make a whole hook system that looks as awesome as it is useful!
