Mother’s Day brunch ideas
Before you decide how to decorate and carry out your Mother’s Day brunch for Mom, there is something you should definitely do. Think about Mom–what things does she love? What are the things that always bring a smile to her face {besides you or her grandchildren}? Write those things down, and refer to the list so you can be sure that at least one of them makes an appearance at her Mother’s Day brunch.
Mother’s Day brunch decor
Most Moms love flowers. If that includes your Mom, then think about including flowers in the theme for your Mother’s Day brunch. Besides flowers, here some additional ideas you might use:
- Print up some of your favorite photos of you and Mom, and display them in frames around the room. You could also hang a string of photos from twine using mini wooden clothespins. So cute!
- Make a heart-shaped {removable} decal for the wall behind the table where food will be served. Make sure it says Mom in the middle!
- Freeze edible flowers such as nasturtiums in ice-cube trays for some beautiful, classy beverages.
- Decorate Mom’s chair with large paper flowers, or balloons in her favorite colors. Just make it a place of honor!
- Create a lovely garland from Mom’s favorite colors and flowers. Use real, silk or paper flowers. This is something Mom would probably like to save afterwards.
Mother’s Day brunch food ideas
Mother’s Day brunch foods should center around what Mom likes best, so take that into consideration when planning your menu. Traditional brunch favorites include Quiche, pancakes, waffles, lots of fresh fruits, juices and breakfast meats. It’s easy to modify these traditional favorites for Mother’s Day.
- Heart-shaped pancakes are beautiful topped with an array of fresh berries and dusted with powdered sugar.
- An omelet bar is another fun idea. Set out a variety of omelet ingredients like diced meats, vegetables and cheeses. Be sure to include Mom’s favorites, but everyone has the option to make their omelet as they wish.
- A waffle bar is fun and a bit easier than an omelet bar. Make basic buttermilk waffles for everyone, but lay out a buffet with lots of fruits, syrups, whipped cream and other waffle toppings so each person can top off their own waffle.
- Does Mom love chocolate? Set up a chocolate fondue station at your Mother’s Day brunch with lots of yummy things to dip in the chocolate. It might be Mom’s favorite part of the brunch!
Which of these Mother’s Day brunch ideas do you like best? Don’t forget to include a homemade gift just for Mom!
