Once you make the salt dough, have your kids each put their hand print in theirs. Then, just turn it into a cute little winter scene of your family or a snowman family!

You can also do a handprint, but instead of your family, make Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer! It’s the perfect design for a cute little reindeer- each finger is a foot and the thumb is the nose!

Have them each make a fun snowman or Christmas scene onto the salt dough. They can be cute and creative, as long as it’s a Christmas scene!

A fun way to get some spelling into this activity is by making letters to spell out fun Christmas words. You can make words like “joy,” “peace,” and anything else you want. Each kid can decorate one letter.

You don’t even really have to have a theme to your ornaments if you don’t want! Just give each kid an ornament and let them color it however they want! The ornaments will be fun and bright—perfect for Christmas!
